Justin Walker has joined the men's basketball program at Wabash Valley, as an assistant coach.  

Walker spent the last two years as an assistant at Eastern Illinois. In his first year with the Panthers, he helped rebuild the roster which featured nine new players. In 201-22, EIU used 16 different starting lineups, the fifth most among NCAA Division I schools. 

Prior to Eastern, Walker was the head boys coach at Bloomington High School. He guided the Purple Raiders to 11 wins during his first season, including a 5-5 record in the Big Twelve Conference. 

Before that, Walker spent five years on Barry Hinson's staff at Southern Illinois in Carbondale, the last two as an assistant coach. He recruited starting guard Lance Jones among other players at SIU, after spending two years as Director of Basketball Operations and one as a graduate assistant coach there. 

Walker also spent one year as an assistant coach at Waubonsie Valley High School, and three years at Illinois Basketball Academy. 

Warrior head coach Terrance McGee said: "I am excited to have Justin join our family here at Wabash. Justin brings a wealth of basketball knowledge, has a great work ethic and is a very good recruiter. I believe he is a rising star, and our program will benefit from his contributions." 

Walker has earned two different bachelor's degrees, one from Carthage College, and a second from Eastern Illinois.
