Wabash Valley College Bass Team Signs Hunter Michl of Newton, Illinois

Mount Carmel, Ill. — Wabash Valley College's bass coach, Professor Todd Gill, is excited to announce the signing of Hunter Michl for the upcoming 2020–2021 collegiate bass season. Michl signed on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 5.

Hunter is the son of Ryan and Tami Michl of Newton, Illinois. He is a senior at Newton High School and will be competing this spring with the Newton Bass Team for the fourth straight season. During Michl's high school career, he won the 2019 Newton Lake High School Invitational and has qualified for the state finals with the Illinois Bass Nation. Michl plans to study Agriculture in college and is excited about his opportunity to be a part of the Wabash Valley College Bass Team.
