Wabash Valley College Bass Team Signs Chevvy Wood of Mount Carmel

Mount Carmel, Ill.— Wabash Valley College's bass coach, Professor Todd Gill, is excited to announce the signing of Chevvy Wood for the upcoming 2020–2021 collegiate bass season. Wood signed on Friday afternoon, Jan. 17.

Chevvy is the son of Mitch and Stacy Wood. He is a senior at Mount Carmel High School and will be competing this spring in his second high school bass season with the Lawrenceville Lunkers. Wood posted three top 10 finishes with the Lunkers in 2019 and qualified to fish in the Illinois state tournament with the Illinois Bass Nation high school circuit. Wood plans to study physical therapy in college and is excited about his opportunity to be a part of the Wabash Valley College bass team.
