Hill named to All Region 24 volleyball team

MT. CARMEL, Ill. -- Lady Warrior middle hitter Madison Hill has been named to the All-NJCAA Region 24 volleyball team.

Hill, a sophomore from Boonville, Ind., was named to the second team in voting by Region 24 coaches. The Lady Warriors finished with an overall record of 13-18, and 7-9 in Great Rivers Athletic Conference play.

The leading attacker up front for the Lady Warriors, Hill recorded a team-high 311 kills during the season. That stands as the highest total since the volleyball program resumed in 2018 after a lengthy hiatus (barely topping Andrea Andujar Manual's 310 in 2019). Coupled with her first-year total of 64 kills, Hill finished her WVC career with 375 kills.

Hill also led the team in blocks with 76 total blocks (39 solos with 37 assists) and finished third in digs with 259.

Perhaps Hill's most dominant day of the season came on Oct. 8. She recorded her best two kill totals in back-to-back games at Vincennes.

Against Snead State, she had 16 kills. In the following match against Edison State, Hill notched 17 kills, her season high.

Her total attack mark against Ancilla, 55 on Sept. 9, was also the team best.
