MT. CARMEL, Ill. -- Wabash Valley used a decisive 25-10 run in the second half to rally to an 87-75 Great Rivers Athletic Conference men's basketball victory over Olney Central on Homecoming Day at Spencer Sports Center on Saturday.

The win snapped a two-game losing streak for the Warriors, now 15-13 on the season and 8-7 in GRAC play. With the loss, Olney Central fell to 16-9 and 9-6, respectively.

Two free throws by Jakobi Heady with 8:26 remaining initiated the game-changing surge and brought the Warriors even on the scoreboard at 58-58. When he hit a second pair from the stripe a few seconds later, the hosts were in front to stay.

Gary Clay followed with five straight points, and WVC was suddenly up, 65-58 with 7:06 left.

Brandon Rayzer-Moore scored on a nifty stop-and-go drive to the baseline for an and-one, then Kshaun Casey added six straight points on two free throws and two tip-in baskets and just like that the Warrior lead had mushroomed to 74-63 with 4:22 left.

Heady and Clay both finished game-high on the day with 22 points apiece. Rayzer-Moore added 21 points, and Casey 14.

Darien Lewis led Olney Central with 17 points.

Isaac Wodajo's WVC club has two games left in the regular season – Wednesday at Shawnee and a Saturday afternoon Sophomore Day home finale against Vincennes (3 p.m. CST).
