Originally from Edwards County, Coach Patrick Harris returns home to continue his soccer-coaching career.  Commenting on his new challenge, Coach Patrick states, “I can think of no better way to continue my soccer journey than being able to start a women’s soccer program at Wabash Valley College.” 

He played soccer in High School, where upon graduation, accepted a soccer scholarship to Mid-Continent University.  After receiving third in nationals in NCCAA, Patrick transferred to the regional NCAA II program of University of Southern Indiana.  While there, Patrick took on a player-manager role, helping assist all parts of training and traveling with the men’s program.  Patrick helped lead the team to an appearance to the GLVC semi-final. 

Soon after graduation, Patrick wanted to continue his soccer career and was asked to join the men’s staff at USI.  Under the leadership of Mat Santoro, again Patrick helped lead the team in all facets of training and traveling with the men’s program.  The following year he accepted a position with the West Liberty University Women’s Soccer team led by Barry Christmas. 

The four-years Patrick was there, he helped lead the brand new NCAA II program to its first-ever conference tournament and multiple all-conference player selections.  Patrick also helped coach players who made appearances in the WPSL and one senior international women’s cap.  While coaching at West Liberty, Patrick was heavily involved with the local club groups U6-U18. 

Patrick is a member of the United Soccer Coaches and currently holds his USSF “D” license.  Harris holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Education from University of Southern Indiana and Master’s of Education in Sports Leadership and Coaching from West Liberty University. 

A native of Illinois, Harris resides in Albion, IL, with his wife Kristen and their children Hadley, Hayden and Callum.
