Matt Morrow begins his second season on the staff at Wabash Valley.  Matt will serve has the Hitting Coach and Recruiting Coordinator while aslo working with Infielders.

In Coach Morrow's first season at The Bash, the Warriors took home a GRAC Championship, Region 24 Championship and a Midwest District Championship, en route to a 2nd place finish at the NJCAA JUCO World Series.  The Morrow led offense, led the country in hits, runs and RBI's, finished 2nd in On-Base % and third in doubles.  Morrow saw nine of his hitters move on to four year schools with six of those being to Division I schools.

Prior to WVC, Morrow spent two seasons as the Volunteer Assistant at the University of Illinois-Chicago, where he assisted with the hitters, coached the outfielders and coached first base.

As a collegiate player, Morrow was a four year starter at second base at Wright State University from 2015-2018.  A career .295 hitter, Morrow was named to the Horizon League First Team his final two seasons with the Raiders.  The Native of Richmond, IN was named to the Horizon League All-Tournament Team after finishing his season with a .333 batting average, while slugging .487 and reaching base at a .427 clip.  In Morrow's freshman season he was named a Freshman All-American in addition to be named to the Horizon League Newcomer Team.

Following his graduation from Wrigth St, Morrow signed as an undrafted free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates organization.  In his first season of minor league baseball, Morrow hit .286 for the Gulf Coast League Pirates, before hitting .295 for the Bristol Pirates in 2019.  Morrow had 43 hits, drove in 18 and drew 13 walks in 41 games for Bristol.

Morrow is a native of Richmond, IN and currently resides in Mt. Carmel, IL.
