Shaulana Wagner named NJCAA Division I Player of the Week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Wabash Valley's Shaulana Wagner has been named the NJCAA Division I women's Player of the Week.

Wagner set a school single-game scoring record with 47 points on Saturday in a 91-75 victory over Three Rivers in the NJCAA Game of the Week on ESPN+. 

The 5-foot-10 sophomore guard from Detroit, Michigan leads the country in two categories: field goals made (132), and steals (75). 

Wagner is also third in total points (337), sixth in assists (105), and seventh in scoring (21.1 points per game). 

She is the eighth player chosen for the Division I award this season. 

The 14th-ranked Lady Warriors (15-1), play at Jefferson, Mo. (4-14) tonight. The tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
