HILLSBORO, Mo. -- Wabash Valley improved to 16-1 on the year with a 96-40 win over Jefferson College here on Wednesday night.

The 14th-ranked Lady Warriors, playing for the first time since defeating Three Rivers on Saturday in the NJCAA Game of the Week on ESPN+, jumped to a 26-5 lead after the first quarter, and built the lead to 54-17 by halftime.

Defensive pressure was again the M.O. used by Luke Scheidecker's team. They forced Jefferson into 43 turnovers in the game.

Yiesha Williams was on fire from beyond the arc line for WVC. She hit four of the team's total of eight 3-point field goals, including three in the second quarter.

That was enough for Williams to finish game-high on the night, scoring 18 points. Also hitting double figures for Wabash Valley: Madison Roshelle (15), Zhordan Shannon (14), Chanteese Craig (12), and Brooklyn Gray (11).

Jefferson, directed by former Warrior assistant men's coach Cornbread Walker, was led by Talia Lawson with 10 points.
