Luke Scheidecker is in his sixth year as head coach at Wabash Valley College, and seventh year overall. Scheidecker, a 25-time Coach of the Year honoree, owns an overall record of 200-19 (91%) and has won a conference and region championship during all six of his seasons as a head coach while making five appearances in NJCAA National Tournaments including a Final Four during the 2023-2024 season.

Scheidecker’s teams have been some of the prolific offensive teams in the country in scoring and field goal percentage. They have been, on average, a top-three team in points per game, averaging around 90 points per a game while also being in the top-five of in the country in FG %. In 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 the Lady Warriors led the country in scoring while averaging 101 points per game.
His players have experienced great success as well. In addition of his 10 All-Americans, he has recruited and coached seven Conference Player of the Years and three Freshmen of the Year. He also has had 24 All-Conference and All-Region selections. At the NCAA level, his former players have found great success, as they have been named to All-Conference teams as well.
Prior to Shawnee, Scheidecker joined the Southern Illinois University staff in the summer of 2012 where he served as the Assistant Director of Basketball Operations. At Southern Illinois he had a wide range of task, he was in charge of all team travel, assistant camp director, assisted in different aspects of recruiting, and ran the Special Olympics basketball Clinic and annual fundraiser.
Prior to SIU, he spent three years with the SEMO men's basketball program. In 2011, he took on the added title of Director of Basketball Operations. In his capacity as operations director, Scheidecker coordinated all aspects of team travel. He also handled scheduling for non-conference games, coordinated recruiting trips and official visits, and organized film exchange.
Scheidecker is marreid to the former Tori Schickel who starred at Butler University where she was a three time all Big East selection. Scheidecker has two children, a 9 year-old son, Cade and a 6 year-old daughter, Brynn.
