Hogan named Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Head Coach Luke Scheidecker has announced the hiring of former Lady Warrior, Kyra Hogan, as the new Assistant Women's Basketball Coach.  Hogan, a 2019 Wabash Valley graduate, returns to Wabash Valley College after spending the last two years playing at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, MO.

Hogan is no stranger to success.  She comes in with an impressive winning background starting as far back as her time at Louisville Male High School. After being a part of one of the top 20  high school girls' programs in the country, Hogan continued her collegiate career at Wabash Valley college under Coaches Luke Scheidecker and Jack Trosper.  During her career at Wabash Valley College she had a career record of 62-4. She was part of one of the winningest classes in school history as well as appearing  in two NJCAA National  tournaments.

After graduating from Wabash Valley with her associates in science and the arts, Hogan was recruited  as a student athlete to Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. There she earned a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in exercise science while playing for the Griffons. She is excited to, once again be at Wabash Valley alongside Coach Scheidecker.

"I'm excited to have Coach Hogan back with the program." Coach Luke Schedecker said, "Kyra is a proven winner who has had success at every level.  Kyra is also a high character individual who works extremely hard and has great basketball knowledge.  She understand the culture here and what it takes to be successful and will do a great job with our student-athletes."
