Wabash Valley Women's Basketball Tabbed 3rd in Country by World Exposure Report Preseason Top 25

Wabash Valley College women's basketball will enter the 2021-22 season as the 3rd ranked team in the nation according to World Exposure Report as it released its Preseason Top 25.

The Lady Warriors also have three players tabbed in the World Exposure Top 25 player rankings. Illinois Chicago transfer Daijah Smith came as the number #6 player in the country,  Xavier transfer Shaulana Wagner came in at #12 and Indiana St. transfer Jasmine Elder came in at #23.

The Lady Warriors have a veteran group this year as the roster contains 11 sophomores and 3 freshman.  Key returners from last years roster are Kiarah Carney who averaged 9.1ppg and Kennadi Harris who averaged 8.1ppg over her last 11 games last year.

 The recruiting class for this year welcomes 11 new faces to the rosters with 8 of those being transfers. Smith averaged 10.1ppg last year at Illinois Chicago, Elder averaged 7ppg over her two years at Indiana St, and Wagner averaged 4.1ppg in 23 mpg at Xavier.  Other key additions are junior college transfers are Darlisha Reed who averaged 16ppg and 11rpg at State Fair, and Vincennes transfer Alexis Radcliff who averaged 13.5ppg and 7rpg. 
 

The Lady Warriors have a tough opening week as they host Illinois Central who made a D2 Final Four appearance last year. Followed by Three Rivers who had an undefeated regular season last year and made the D1 Final Four.  Three Rivers was tabbed 12th in the Preseason Top 25.
