It's a big opening for the Lady Warriors as they open with a three game stretch vs. 3 Nationally ranked opponents. The 13th ranked Lady Warriors will kickoff the 2021-22 season with a very competitive schedule as they open on November 3rd at home against the #4 ranked NJCAA D2, Illinois Central. Last year Illinois Central finished the season with a 20-5 record while taking fourth place in the national tournament.
Following the season opener, the Lady Warriors finish the week off on the road competing in the Three Rivers Raider Classic. On Saturday the Lady Warriors will go up against #8 Three Rivers. The Lady Raiders return the majority of their roster from a team that went undefeated in the regular season and made the Final Four in the 2021 National Tournament. Finishing the week on Sunday the Lady Warriors will finish off against NJCAA D2 #20 Southern Arkansas Tech.
Coach Luke Scheidecker said, "It will be a great test for us this week playing against 3 good basketball teams that are all very experienced and well-coached. We will have to be ready to play 40 minutes in all 3 games. We are excited to see where we are at as we have a lot of new faces to the team this year."
