The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association has seclected women's head coach Luke Scheidecker as a NJCAA Co-Coach of the Year recipients. Scheidecker was selected due to the teams success this season. This is Scheidecker's 3rd time winning the award.
Coach Luke Scheidecker said, "This award isn't for me, it's a program award, everyone in our program from assistant coach Kyra Hogan to our players have worked hard all year. They bought in what we taught them and executed it on a daily basis. We had a phenomal group of young women who got better all year. I give tons of credit to Coach Hogan for her hard work on and off the floor.
The IBCA will honor Scheidecker and the other coach of the year recipients across the state at their 50th annual Hall of Fame Banquet April 30 at Redbird Arena on the campus of Illinois State University.
