Lady Warriors to host NJCAA/ESPN+ national Game of the Week Saturday vs. Three Rivers

MT. CARMEL, Ill. -- This Saturday's Top 20 showdown women's basketball game between Wabash Valley and Three Rivers, Mo. has been selected as the NJCAA Game of the Week. 

The game at Spencer Sports Center will be streamed nationally on ESPN+. Tipoff time is scheduled for 1 p.m. CST. 

As part of a multi-year media rights agreement with ESPN, beginning with the 2022-2023 academic year the NJCAA will have nationally televised championship games for NJCAA Division I Football, Division I Men's Basketball, and Division I Women's Basketball that will air on an ESPN linear network, as well as regular season content on ESPN+.  

During the regular season, ESPN+ will exclusively stream 13 NJCAA football games, 25 men's basketball games, 25 women's basketball games, 20 baseball games, and 20 softball games each year of the agreement. In addition to these, the industry-leading sports streaming service will air the NJCAA Division I Baseball and NJCAA DI Softball Championship final games. 

This is the first time a WVC athletic contest has been streamed on ESPN+. To watch live NJCAA content on ESPN+, you need to be a subscriber.  If you already have ESPN+, you are all set for watching NJCAA games.  If not, you will be required to create a new ESPN+ account. 

The Lady Warriors (13-1) are ranked 18th in the most recent NJCAA Division I poll. Three Rivers (11-1) is one notch higher, ranked 17th. 

The Raiders pinned Luke Scheidecker's club with its' only loss of the season with a 91-79 victory on opening night, Nov. 5th, in Poplar Bluff, Mo. 

The Lady Warriors have won 13 straight games since. Three Rivers is riding a hot streak as well, having won its' last five games in a row.  

However, both teams have Wednesday night matchups to deal with first. WVC hosts Volunteer State (5-6) at 7 p.m. Three Rivers hosts a Warrior rival from the Great Rivers Athletic Conference, Lincoln Trail (3-11), also at 7 p.m.
